eBay fastprofit If you want to make an ebay fastprofit here are my top tips: Find out what the most in demand products are RIGHT NOW by logging onto this ebay page: http://pulse.ebay.com This lists the top 10 most popular items on eBay NOW. So, you can see what products people are wanting most at any given time. You can use this online wholesale catalogue to buy most items that sell well on ebay or by all means do your own search, but this is one I trust.
I’ve just gone onto pulse as I write this (13 June 2009) and the number 1 item in the top 10 list is Cursor. So, I then clicked on the Cursor title and that took me through to a page where those type of items are for sale. I went down the left hand side of the page and clicked on ‘completed listings’. The results that then came up showed me recent sales of that product. I sorted that list by clicking on the ‘sort by – price, highest first’ at the top right of the list. The results that then came up show the most successful sales of the most sought after item on ebay at the present time.
Top of the list was a used laptop with a ‘right cursor key issue’. So, this seller is not actually selling a cursor, but they have legitimately got the word cursor in the title and description of their listing. Clever! Their starting price for bids (it was sold as an auction item, not buy it now) was $0.01. Now that’s going to get people’s attention isn’t it? A laptop for $0.01. Needless to say it attracted a lot of bids, 40 in total, and the final selling price was $243.
So, the key points we can learn from this is, a low starting bid on a high ticket item can attract a lot of attention resulting in a good selling price and ebay fastprofit. Yes, there’s a risk attached – you may end up making a loss, it’s not fool-proof, however it’s unlikely with an in-demand item as long as you have a good feedback score. I recommend you read Silent sales machine to learn lots of useful tips and tricks about selling successfully on eBay. We can also learn that selling items from the top 10 list of ‘most in demand items’ will result in a lot of people viewing your item.
Another tip is that this seller had a feedback score of 100%. So, buyers can trust this seller and bid with confidence. So a top tip is to give GREAT customer service and be honest in the descriptions of your item. Don’t try and rip people off. This seller put near the top of the description that there was a problem with the cursor key, he described exactly what the problem was, then went on to describe the good things about the product. It gives you confidence in the seller that they are being open about the fact there’s a problem. They aren’t trying to fool you.
Another tip is to list say, 10 other items that will sell at staggered times from each other. Don’t have them all ending in auctions at the same time, because if a buyer is interested in 2 of your items it makes it hard for them to keep track of the bids on 2 items at the same time, especially in the last few minutes of the auction, when things can go a bit mad! Use a tool like Vendio (see auction tools page)so all your itemsare shown in a moving display below each auction. So, when someone looks at one of your auctions, they are then exposed to 9 more items at the same time. You can then hugely increase your sales because each potential buyer is shown 10 items in total for every auction you run! Ok let’s get serious - why not have 50 auctions or 100 a week for a huge ebay fastprofit?
This is another reason I recommend (elsewhere on this site) that you specialize. Sell the same type of products in a niche. That way, if a buyer clicks on your auction for say, an ipod, and you also sell ipod related gear, they may be tempted by that too. However if you sell an ipod in one auction and books in another and cosmetics in another, the chances of them being interested in your other items are very slim.
Now, for a long-term income on ebay you may be better off selling products that are not so high in demand as the ones in the top 10 list because there will be less competition. However if you are after an ebay fastprofit try the top 10 list. Study what the most successful sellers of those items do – and see if you can improve on them. Can you make your listings look better, can you offer something free as an extra? Can you do cheaper postage? Can you offer a money-back satisfaction guarantee? This can give people a lot of confidence. They can be nervous about buying on the internet, so what else can you do to reassure them? Your feedback score will affect your sales a lot as I’ve already said so make sure that’s as close to 100% as you can and actually say in your item description ‘read my customer feedback to give you added confidence before you bid’. I use FAMEso my latest feedback comments are right there in the listing.
